A fellow skier asked where we were traveling in from. "Saipan." Unlike folks in the U.S, that's usually enough information. Pretty much everyone we've spoken to in Korean know of it.
"So you are vacationing from Saipan here," he said more as a statement than a question. And then he shrugged. Sure, why not.
